$650 towards $2,500

Join me in supporting real change. Donations of $100 or greater, will receive a Wingin’ It party box!

Our goal for Wingin’ It this year is to raise $75,000 that will further the mission of Wings, directly impacting our members as well as others in the greater Oklahoma City community.

I am a Young Professionals Board member for Wings. As with many others who have faced a similar dilemma in 2020, we had every intention to host our annual event, Wingin’ It, to support the members at Wings. Unfortunately, things got a little complicated when COVID-19 hit. The Young Professionals Board has put much time and thought into the appropriate next steps for our event since we want to continue to support Wings while remaining sensitive to the fact that everyone currently has their own challenges. We have decided to move forward with a multi-day virtual fundraising event that will start on Wednesday, November 11th and go through Saturday, November 14th!

This year, our goal for Wingin’ It is to raise $75,000, and the money raised will be used to further the mission of Wings and directly impact our members as well as the greater Oklahoma City community. Please know that I understand that everyone is under more stress than usual these days, and it can be difficult to know the best way to give back to others. This opportunity would be a perfect outlet to aid our fellow Oklahomans who are in need.

One of the high points during this pandemic has been learning more about what the Wings members have been up to since March. They have been helping other Oklahomans in need by packaging hygiene kits, assembling emergency food kits, writing personal letters of encouragement to others in the community, assisting other local non-profits, and much more.

The mission of Wings is to enhance the lives of adults with developmental disabilities through social, vocational, and residential programs guided by principles of the Bible. The Wings Day Program is offered to adults with special needs and focuses on volunteer and vocational training, cooking classes, bible study, art production, and independence and life skills training. The Wings Social Club hosts monthly events and provides Wings members an opportunity to socialize in a safe and controlled environment. Click on the link below to learn more about this organization.

I would love for you to join me in this worthy cause!

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Wings Special Needs Community.
