Since high school, I have had a heart for individuals with special needs. I had the opportunity to work in special education while in Texas and while I loved what the public education system was able to offer school aged children, it was a struggle to find positive, enriching options for life post-high school for our students.
This is where Wings is different and rare. Through daily classes, community events, and fulfilling work for their members, Wings is able to help fill a tremendous gap that exists in the special needs community. Wings not only enriches the lives of adults with special needs in a tremendous way, but it also provides support for their families.
Currently I serve on the Young Professionals Board of Wings and am working alongside other board members to raise money to continue to cover the daily operation costs of Wings. Through your giving, you can help Wings continue to provide support for their current members and new members for years to come!
